The Flat Roofing Alliance (FRA) is the recognised trade association for the flat roofing industry. It was formed in 1997 from the merger of two long-established bodies, the Roofing Contractors Advisory Board and the Association of British Roofing Felt Manufacturers.
Today, the FRA is concerned with all types of bituminous flat roofing except mastic asphalt, and supports the interests of hundreds of companies throughout the UK.
The membership consists of the UK's major contractors and smaller specialists involved with flat roofing combined with the leading UK manufacturers, plus many distributor and affiliate members. It is thus supported by UK manufacturers and others supplying materials to the industry.
As the recognised, leading trade association for flat roofing, the Flat Roofing Alliance is regularly consulted by professional, educational and official bodies on a variety of related subjects, including Health and Safety and training. The FRA holds secretariats for four of the British Standards Institute Technical Committees, where it is involved in the preparation of relevant standards and Codes of Practice, and has representation on many others, including European equivalents.
Simply Marcomms is working closely with the Flat Roofing Alliance to help organise and promote the FRA Awards 2008. A series of marketing literature was developed and we are currently going through the nomination process.
